Why Give Online
Take ye from among you an offering unto the LORD: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the LORD (KJV, Exodus, 35:5).
The people of God had experienced a season of 400 years of bondage in the land of Egypt under the heavy hand of the pharaoh. God provides them with a miraculous deliverance. He brought them through impossible odds and allowed them to enter into a total liberty. When He brought them out of bondage, he also blessed them with gold and silver as they left the land of bondage.
This is a picture of the New Testament salvation experience. We were living under the bondage of sin. Our lives were bitter and unfulfilling. Jesus shed his blood for our miraculous deliverance. As we serve Him, he blesses us.
God told Moses to take an offering from among the people, and only the people that were willing to give would give. This freewill offering was going to reveal two very important things.
It would reveal who was truly thankful for their deliverance from bondage, and who understood why God blessed them with material wealth, because this offering was being given to build the tabernacle. The offering is material, but its impact is spiritual.
As the people of Moses’s day gave of the gold and silver that God blessed them with they built a place where the God of heaven could meet with them. Here at Victory Chapel of Greater New Hampshire, we understand the spiritual power of giving. If you would like to change the spiritual climate of New Hampshire, join us in bringing a freewill offering to God that we might build a tabernacle in the wilderness where the Spirit of God can meet with the heart of man.
And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the LORD’S offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation.
(KJV, Exodus, 35:21)
